Old sign-in links
In short
A link from the old portal opens the new sign-in page of your agency. The buyer signs in as usual. A link that does not work shows one friendly page.
Checked on
Buyers have saved links and old e-mails from the old portal. These links look like /auth/signin?id=... or /?id=.... The second form is the link at the start page of the portal. The new portal does not use such a link to sign a buyer in. It sends the buyer to the new sign-in page.
What the buyer sees
Section titled “What the buyer sees”- The buyer opens an old link.
- The portal looks up your agency from the link. The link names your agency, not the buyer.
- The portal sends the buyer to the sign-in page of your agency.
- The buyer signs in with the options that are on for your portal.
If your agency has its own domain, the buyer goes to the sign-in page on that domain.
The portal keeps the other parts of the link, such as the language. It removes the part that names your agency, so the address bar of the buyer does not show it.
When a link does not work
Section titled “When a link does not work”The portal shows one page with the title This link does not work. The page says that the portal could not open with this link. It tells the buyer to try again in a minute. If that does not help, the buyer must ask the agency for a new link.
The page is the same in every case. It does not say why the link failed, and it does not name an agency. This protects the data of your agency.
If a buyer tells you that an old link fails, send a new invitation from the CRM. See Inviting buyers.
When this works
Section titled “When this works”The redirect is part of the move from the old portal to the new portal. It works for an agency once the portal of that agency runs in the new portal.
