Inviting buyers
In short
A buyer cannot sign up alone. The buyer comes in through an invitation from your CRM and then sees a short welcome page. The sign-in link in the invitation is built, but it is not yet switched on.
Checked on
This page describes what happens in the portal. It does not describe the screens of the CRM. If you do not know where to start an invitation in the CRM, ask your contact person at Tesoro.
How a buyer gets in
Section titled “How a buyer gets in”The portal has no sign-up page. A buyer comes in only through an invitation. The CRM sends the invitation. The invitation proves the e-mail address of the buyer. Because of this, the buyer does not confirm the address in a separate step.
What the buyer sees first
Section titled “What the buyer sees first”- The buyer gets the invitation and signs in with the invitation password.
- The first time, the portal shows a welcome page. It asks for first name, last name, phone number and language.
- The portal fills in the fields with the data it gets from the CRM. The phone number is optional.
- The buyer saves the page. The buyer then sees the overview with the properties you selected.
The buyer does not have to set a new password. A password change is a choice that the buyer makes later in the profile.
An invitation with a sign-in link
Section titled “An invitation with a sign-in link”An invitation with a sign-in link is built in the portal. It is available once your portal has the sign-in link switched on. The CRM side of this is not ready yet. With the link, the buyer does not need a password.
- The buyer opens the link in the invitation mail.
- The portal shows a page with the name and the style of your agency. The page has one button, Continue.
- The buyer presses Continue. The portal signs the buyer in.
- The buyer sees the welcome page and then the overview, as above.
The first page has a button on purpose. Some mail programs open every link in a mail to scan it. The link is used up only when the buyer presses Continue. A scan does not use it.
If the link does not work
Section titled “If the link does not work”A link works once. A buyer who opens a used or expired link sees the page Link expired. The page asks for an e-mail address and has the button Send a new link. The new link works for 30 minutes.
Signing in later
Section titled “Signing in later”The sign-in page offers the options in this order: link by e-mail, code by e-mail, password. The link and the code are built, but not yet switched on for agencies. They show only when they are switched on for your portal. The password option is always there.
Inviting a partner
Section titled “Inviting a partner”An agent can also invite the partner of a buyer from the CRM. The partner gets an own invitation link. The link works once and for 7 days. The partner gets an own login and sees only the data of that one deal.
This is available once your portal has it switched on.
A buyer with more than one agency
Section titled “A buyer with more than one agency”A buyer can have invitations from more than one agency. On the shared start page of the portal, the buyer types one e-mail address. The buyer then gets one mail with a sign-in link for each agency. Each link opens only the portal of its own agency.
This is built, but it is not yet switched on. It is available once Tesoro switches it on for all portals. It also needs the sign-in link on each portal, and the CRM side is not ready yet.
